Won't You Take Me to Cougar Town!

The network upfronts are fast approaching and cougars are on the docket. During the television upfront period networks give advertisers a sneak peak at their many new shows fighting for air in the upcoming fall season. And according to Variety, the preeminent Hollywood rag, "Cougar Town is hot." That's pretty unsurprising to hear given how popular cougars are these days and how dreadful most television pilots are, but it's definitely reassuring news. We've shared our uncertainty for this show's prospects, but having a bona fide star in Courteney Cox (Dirt notwithstanding) gives this show a little extra oomph with potential advertisers. We'll take it! We're really pulling for Cougar Town to pull us out of the housing crisis.

It also appears that there's another new comedy receiving some interest - an Alyssa Milano vehicle called "Romantically Challenged." Which just goes to show you that fantasy is still alive a well in La La Land.
