Top Cougars of '08: Ellen DeGeneres

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres clocks in at number six on our list and becomes our first, and at risking of ruining any surprises, only, Cougbian (that's lesbian cougar in Urbancougar parlance) on our list. Ellen remains the only daytime talk show host that's even remotely watchable. She's funny, likable and is actually a half-way decent interviewer, none of which can be said for most of her competition.

The big news in Ellen's life this year was her marriage to long-time companion, the young and smoking hot Portia de Rossi. A strong advocate for gay rights, DeGeneres was certainly distraught with California's recent ban of gay marriage, which could call into question the legality of her nuptials earlier this year. But no law can spoil the love the two share or take away their vows.

In addition to her wedding and continued success of her talk show, Ellen recently became the face of CoverGirl and Olay's new Simply Ageless foundation. A fine choice in our humble opinion.
