Top Cougars of '08: Heather Locklear

Our love for Heather Locklear is well-documented, and, admittedly, if not for that she almost certainly wouldn't have made the list for one of this year's top cougars. It's not exactly been a banner year for the former Melrose Place star. She drew far more attention for her tabloid-fodder relationships and unfortunate DUI arrest than for anything she did professionally. There were some reports that she suffered from anxiety and depression and even rumors of a suicide attempt. All in all, not good.

She did, however, close the year on a high note, starring in the Lifetime movie "Flirting With Forty" in which she played an older woman who, you guessed it, romances a much younger man. The TV movie, based on the book by Jane Porter, is not exactly Emmy material, but it's nice to see Heather back in action and in her most comfortable state - seducing younger men!

You'll always have a special place in our heart, Heather. Here's to bigger and better things in 2009!
