Cougar Hunting More Popular Than Golf?

According to a recent survey from something called Manvite, cougar hunting has had a good years and now ranks among the most popular pastimes for young men. The press release notes:

"Users of the free Manvite service, who average 31 years old, were more likely to go Cougar Hunting this year than bowl, golf, or even go out for lap dances. Only a few other activities core to the male lifestyle, such as drinking beer and watching sports, remain more popular than going out to seek the company of an experienced older female who desires a no-strings-attached relationship with an eager young hunter."

It should be noted that this is an entirely unscientific poll and, by definition, anyone who uses an online invitation service called Manvite is likely predisposed to enjoy a little cougar hunting. But it is nice to see that chasing older women has proven more popular than paying for lap dances, even among this particular set. Might the economic downturn have something to do with it?

Says Manvite Founder and CEO Jonathon Sills, "Based on our data, the Cougar's value has remained strong despite plunging 401(k)s. Sugar daddies lost a lot of sugar this year, but the value young men place on companionship with older women seems to be recession proof."
