Is a 22 year gap too much for a real realationship?

A question for Lucia...
I'm 59 years old, not Barbie, but I am still considered quite attractive and I'm usually mistaken for someone 10-15 years younger.
In spite of my own initial objections about the difference in our ages, I now find myself deeply involved with a 37 year old man who is interested in having us move in together and pursue a life long commitment. (He by the way, is also a very handsome man who is highly pursued by young females.)
Frankly, I've never heard of another case like this one, but after a six month courtship there is a real emotional bond between us. Neither one of us depends financially on the other, and given that he already has a son and does not want more children, is there a chance that we might make a go of this, or is this destined to be just a fling?

Hi, age is just numbers. your age what you really feel. If the 22 years old makes you happy so be it. Life is to short to overthink it from now on JUST DO IT

It SOUNDS to me like your a pretty happy lady there. Why question this love~ Unless there is something other then the age difference that is not right for you. It seems wonderful. Both financially secure and already has a child~ I BELIEVE that this is a beautiful event in your life and not just one of lust~ but rather love~ WOULD totally give into this wholeheartly and enjoy the ride~ Forever or how ever long your forever is with him. Forget age HE is old enough to know he wants you .. enjoy and the best of Luck~

Good for both of you! It takes courage and openmindedness on both parties parts to engage. If you are both happy and the relationship works, that is all that matters. It is impossible to predict the future, and the future really doesn't matter anyway. If if feels right in the moment, go for it! Very inspirational story, thanks for sharing.

Hi guys, I'm living the same story, I'm 39 and she's 59. It is not yet a life commitment, there are some real obstacles to start it, but I have to admit it is a wonderful story. She's so young inside and still so attractive. No real problems related to the age difference. I hope we can really GO for it! Best Luck to all of us.
