Sara: Urbancougar of the Month, August 2005

"I have an adventurous spirit. I have traveled around the world and sampled the local prey on 6 continents. I'm not afraid to take risks. I enjoy the excitement of young men who also think unconventionally."

Why we love her
Well, she’s just got the "Desperate Housewives" look about her, now doesn’t she? That sassy demeanor is just hard to ignore.

It’s also hard for us to ignore that she hails from Orange County, the old stamping ground for a few of us here at urbancougar.com. She keeps it classy, too. Nothing but the O.C.’s swankiest habits. No Q-Dub for her.

But beyond our obvious bias, we gotta love Sara for the fact that she’s taken down prey on all but one continent. Presumably she’s only missing Anarctica. Hey, she inexplicably calls herself a snow cougar, so maybe she can take some steps to prove it. And she says that the best thing about being an urbancougar is how "liberating" it is. Well, we’re pretty sure there are some lonely research assistants at the South Pole who wouldn’t be terribly disappointed if she stopped by to complete her efforts at world domination by liberating them from a serious set of blue balls.

Q&A

So when did it become clear that you prefer the company of younger men?
A few years ago; I grew tired of hearing about the hard lucky saga's of men over 35 (their evil ex-wives/business partners who cheated them over/or their medical issues). Younger men are fresh, eager to please and open-minded. They're the new designer jeans that fit just perfect!

How sexy does it make you feel when an attractive younger man falls prey to your seductions?
Extremely hot! I've always flourished in the leadership roll and younger men are happy to take direction. In my early 20's I recall my boyfriends asking me, what turns you on? At that age (and I suspect many other young woman) I never answered that question honestly. Now, I am able to specifically show him what "rings my bell" and hopefully these newly mastered skills will bring another Cougar pleasure.

Did you choose to be an urbancougar or were you born to hunt?
For me it's a choice. I was born a "Good Charlotte" and sometime in my 30's discovered walking down an aisle and spending the rest of my life in a suburb wasn't my life's quest. I date younger men for pleasure, fun and friendship; but it's up to me to make myself complete.

Any words of encouragement for your fellow cougars out there?
Throw away your list! Focus on the chemistry of the moment and don't get attached.
