Farewell, Farrah

It is with great sadness that we note the passing of the beautiful Farrah Fawcett. Farrah lost her long battle with cancer today - June 25, 2009. She was 62.

For anyone born in the Seventies, Farrah was it. The Charlie's Angels star set the beauty and style standard during the latter half of the decade, and was the envy of nearly everyone. Every boy had that poster (pictured here) pasted on their wall. Every girl wanted her feathered hair. But she was more than a pretty face, as she demonstrated in her intense and deeply personal role in The Burning Bed, a television movie that drew much needed attention to the scourge of spousal abuse.

Farrah's was a tough life, full of spectacular ups and downs, most played out in the media for all the world to see. We can only pray she finds peace in the next one.
