Cougar Couric Commences

Katie Couric, the former host of NBC's Today Show and now lead anchor for CBS News, is one of the more accomplished cougars out there, but we've never heard her address the issue. Until now! And in her commencement address to the 2009 graduating class at Princeton no less. Right at the beginning. Here's what she had to say...

It's a tremendous honor to be part of your Class Day. When Princeton called to invite me I was thrilled. It also gave me a perfect excuse for turning down Harvard and Yale - my safety schools! And since I’ve been called a cougar lately in the tabloid press – today I’m very happy to be an honorary tiger! Coming here was a real no brainer! After all, I can see New Jersey from my house!

Okay, she doesn't exactly embrace the cougar tag and kind of tosses it off as a "tabloid" thing. But she should know that it's not just young men that fawn all over her. Cougar women everywhere look up to Katie Couric and with good reason. She's smart, driven, and hot in a school teacher sort of way. The perfect choice in our mind to lead our top young minds into the future. Did we read the rest of the address? No. But then we're not terribly bright and have kind of one track mind. But we bet what she had to say was truly inspiring!
